Academy Status

The Principle aim of Trevisker Primary School is to nurture each individual and find the spark that will give them a love of learning.  We pride ourselves on our high standards of learning and behaviour and enjoy seeing our children’s pride in their school and their achievements.  At Trevisker School there are opportunities for outdoor learning, sport, creative and performing arts, all within a stimulating curriculum that encourages each child to achieve their very best.  Our school ethos is reflected in our motto “Friendship and Respect.  Learn for Life.”

Trevisker Primary School joined The Learning Academy Trust in September 2016.

Who are The Learning Academy Trust (TLAT)?

The Learning Academy Trust work to provide an exceptional education for all, including schools in need of improvement and those that are already outstanding.  TLAT have a clear focus on improving the standards of teaching and learning in our Trust schools so that every pupil can achieve their full potential, and develop pride in their achievements.

The principle aim of TLAT is to educate individual children to their full potential and prepare them to be responsible citizens.  Standing together, The Learning Academy Trust:

TLAT at the core of this vision:

Supports schools to improve pupil attainment by:

  • focussing on the development of the whole child and involving pupils, parents and staff in a supportive, aspirational, challenging and caring environment
  • ensuring rapid improvement and promoting best practice through a shared approach to continued professional development ( CPD)
  • positively promoting and nurturing the spiritual, social, cultural and moral development of all pupils to improve Primary and Secondary provision and outcomes
  • raising the achievement and attainment of all pupils by a relentless improvement in the standard of education provided in all our schools
  • developing a variety of strategies to encourage our pupils to be confident and effective lifelong learners
  • continuously evaluating, reviewing and where necessary revising the curriculum and structure to enhance the effectiveness of TLAT

Provides efficient, effective and coordinated business support to:

  • drive down the costs of these services for each school and add value to the services they could access individually
  • ensure more of the budget is focussed on direct teaching and learning costs
  • comply with all legislative, statutory and commercial requirements in terms of curriculum and operational matters
  • operate TLAT in accordance with the Nolan principals of selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership
